10:15 am - Kids Worship in sanctuary
10:30 am to 11:30 am- Sunday School
Kids Connection (pre-K through 5th grade)
Youth Sunday School (6th grade through 12th grade)
We are so excited to have you check out St Luke’s Children's page!
We have so much fun and would like to share it with your family!
Here is some information on what we do each week at St Luke's Kids Connection:
-
Memory Verse: During each series we have a memory verse for the children to learn. By doing it for 4-6 weeks, the children will learn it well!
-
Skits: Each week we will have a fun skit or puppet show that the kids can act or just watch. It will be a fun way for the kids to listen to characters and learn about that day’s lesson.
-
Object Lesson: During the object lessons we will take everyday items and apply it to our lesson to help them connect what they are learning.
-
Games: During games we will get up and get moving while connecting what they have learned with a fun game.
-
Group Lessons/Storytime/Scripture: This is where we delve into the scripture that tells our story for that day.
-
Review Game: We review our lesson with fill in the blanks, true or false question, multiple choice and the children amaze us with what all they remembered from their lesson!
-
Arts and Crafts: Each week the kids make something creative to take home to help them remember what they learned.
-
Snack: Of course we will need to have a delicious snack each week!
This is a lot to fit into each week, but we keep the kids moving and exploring each lesson! They will bring home a paper for parents each week called “Make it Stick” so that they can share what they learned.
Youth Sunday School will be exploring a variety of discussions about important issues and growing in their faith. They will be playing games and have activities that relate to the Bible scripture.
Here is what you need to know about St Luke Sunday School:
-
First and foremost, the safety of the children is most important. We use the Safe Gatherings program for all our teachers. This includes background checks and boundaries training.
-
We believe that the Children's ministry is one of the most important ministries of the church.
-
We believe that children can learn lessons from the bible in a fun, inspiring way.
-
We believe that the personal connections we make through Children’s ministry between the teachers and the children through teaching, worship, praying, singing and group time is very important.
-
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
-
We believe that Jesus is God’s son, and through him we find salvation.
-
We believe in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe that Jesus rose on the third day and defeated death.
-
We don’t believe that God cares as much about Bible translation or style of music as He does about our hearts. (1 Samuel 16:7)
-
You can find more about our theological stance on our What We Believe page.
-
Memory Verse: “We are God’s creation. He created us to belong to Christ Jesus. Now we can do good work. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
-
Overview: The world delivers some pretty strong messages about who we should be, what we should do, and how we should act. But God made us to be very different from what the world says: We are His precious children, dearly loved and called to love and serve him.
