What is Dinner Church?

Dinner church is simply worshiping around the dinner table.

What might you expect when you come to Dinner Church?

Our Dinner Church service models what you might expect from worship in the first three hundred years of the church.  We begin with prayer, sometimes a song, then we share in a meal and fellowship.  As the meal is winding down, we enter a time of symposium, which basically consists of a passage of scripture being read followed by a guided discussion.  We then have Holy Communion, followed by prayer and a song.  Then we all work together to clean up.  Food is typically brought in potluck fashion, meaning everyone is welcome to bring something, but you aren't required to.  If we have enough to eat, great, if not, that is fine too.  There has yet to be a time when we didn't have enough.  We also leave an offering basket by the food for those who wish to support the ministry at St. Luke.
